Typhoon Noul made landfall in southern China on Sunday morning, lashing the region with strong winds and heavy rain and forcing Hong Kong airport to cancel around 360 passenger flights.

The typhoon is the strongest to make landfall in China in 2026 to date, according to state media.

A seven-year-old from Sydney, Australia has gone viral after a video of him performing an original song was posted on his dad's social media.

Miles said the song was inspired by a visit with his family to Raymond Island where the colourful Eastern Rosella stood out to him.
